2Checkout Payment Gateway for LaraClassifier and JobClass Review
I recently purchased the 2Checkout Payment Gateway add-on for my LaraClassifier and JobClass websites, and I have to say that it was a mixed bag. As with any plugin, I was excited to see what it could do, and while it did deliver some promising features, there were also some limitations and caveats that I’d like to highlight.
Before You Purchase
Before buying this add-on, please make sure you’ve checked the box that says you’re able to use the services of 2Checkout for your website and in your country. Also, keep in mind that this is an add-on that requires the latest version of LaraClassifier or JobClass to function.
Features
The plugin offers the following features:
- Accept payment from advertisers using the 2Checkout payment gateway
- Configurable live or sandbox mode
- Easy one-click installation, enabling or disabling the payment gateway
While these features look promising, I was somewhat underwhelmed by their actual performance. The live/sandbox mode was more of a curiosity than a useful feature, and the installation process was straightforward, but not particularly impressive.
Demo
The plugin comes with a demo website that you can access here: https://demo.laraclassifier.com, with the following credentials: user@demosite.com and password 123456. You can test out the payment methods using a 2Checkout card, but I was disappointed to find that the demo doesn’t really showcase the full capabilities of the plugin.
Conclusion
Overall, I’d give this plugin 3.29 stars out of 5. While it does offer some useful features, I feel that it falls short of its potential. The documentation could be improved, and the demo doesn’t fully demonstrate the plugin’s capabilities. Additionally, the sandbox mode and easy installation don’t really add much value to the plugin. For the price, I’d expect more.
