I recently purchased the "Add on Auto Tweet" application for Twitter Deck with the intention of automating my Twitter re-tweeting process. As part of my review, I’ll be going through its features, functionality, and overall user experience.

The Add-on allows you to auto retweet any Twitter account’s tweets, providing you with the ability to manage from which accounts you want to retweet. It comes with an auto-scheduling script that enables you to set it up in cron jobs and re-tweets at your desired time intervals.

Ease of Installation and Setup
I struggled a bit during the initial setup process, mainly because I’m not familiar with cron jobs. However, the provided video tutorials, especially the one on how to use the Add on, were very helpful.

Features and Functionality
The application offers:

  1. Auto Schedule User List: allows you to manage the Twitter accounts that you want to retweet.
  2. Auto Tweet schedule script: enables scheduled re-tweets.

In my opinion, the best feature of this Add on is the ability to use cron jobs, which removes the need for manual updating. This makes it practical for managing multiple Twitter accounts.

User Interface
The user interface is uncomplicated and easy to understand, making it suitable even for those without extensive social media management experience.

Performance
The application requires PHP 5.6.25 or higher and MySQL client version 5.7.14 or higher. In my installation, I encountered some connection issues, which I troubleshooted by upgrading both PHP and MySQL to comply with the minimum requirements mentioned.

Support
From my experience, the technical support provided is quite minimal. Although they do allow pre-purchase questions/suggestions, it’s expected that the Add on can be easily understood without asking questions. For me, this was not the case.

Score
Currently, I’m scoring 0 out of 10 due to the difficulty and confusion I faced during initial setup and the limited understanding provided in the support portal.

Recommendation
I would recommend this add-on to users who understand cron jobs and have strong technical knowledge. For more casual users, it is crucial to invest time exploring the setup process before trying to use the Add-on.
