Spinning Around – (Unity Game) Hyper Casual Game For Android And iOS

Spinning Around: A Thrilling Hyper-Casual Game

Rating: 0/10

I had the opportunity to test "Spinning Around", a hyper-casual game available on both Android and iOS devices. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing, and I found several issues that detracted from my overall enjoyment of the game.

Initial Impression

The game’s website provides a WebGL version that can be tested online. Alternatively, you can download the APK file and install it on your Android device. I opted for the latter, and my initial impression was that the game’s graphics and sound effects were decent, but not impressive.

Gameplay

The gameplay is quite simple: a ball travels around a circle, and spikes and stars appear randomly in front of it. The objective is to avoid the spikes for as long as possible while collecting stars to purchase new balls from the shop menu. However, the game becomes increasingly difficult as it progresses, making it challenging to avoid the spikes.

Ads and Setup

To set up AdMob ads, the game requires some additional steps. You need to follow these instructions:

  • Go to Assets -> Google Mobile Ads -> Settings and enter your app ID from the AdMob console.
  • Open the script "Menus.cs" and insert your rewarded ad ID on line 68 and your interstitial ad ID on line 80 (for Android) or line 82 (for iOS).

Conclusion

Unfortunately, my experience with "Spinning Around" was not positive. The game’s simplicity and lack of variety made it feel repetitive and boring. The increasing difficulty was not enough to keep me engaged, and I found myself losing interest after a short period. With a score of 0/10, I would not recommend this game to others.
